Tonya J. Milne began her training in her hometown of Waterloo, Ontario, continuing on to The Royal Winnipeg Ballet School by age ten. She has since graduated from the Kirov Academy of Ballet in Washington D.C. Her training has afforded her the opportunity to study and work with such renowned dancers and choreographers as Oleg Vinogradov, Alla Sizova, Yelena Vinogradova, Frank Augustyn, Veronica Tennant, Arnold Sphore and Max Ratevossian.
Tonya’s dramatic expression and strong classical technique enables her to beautifully perform diverse ballet repertoire roles in classical ballets such as Swan Lake, Sleeping Beauty, Coppelia, Giselle, Don Quixote, Chopiniana, Paquita and the Nutcracker. She also has performed Neo-Classical works. Tonya has performed and professionally danced with Ballet Jorgen Canada and USA Ballet.
Tonya continues her professional persuit of ballet and has received many scholarships and awards for her articulate technique and artistic expression. Tonya encourages us all to “dance like no one is watching”.
